7. CONTAIN

This program is very helpful for vessels transporting containers for calculating static and dynamic stability. In fact, for all containers loaded need the exact position of each container i.e. each vertical distance from the container's barycentre to the base line and also the horizontal distance from the said barycentre to the aft. ship's perpendicular. By using this program, all containers are loaded on board on your vessel as a big container with only one vertical and horizontal distance.Therefore the calculation of the dynamic stability become more easy considering all containers as a new ship's compartment.

Below there is an example considering two containers, but you can calculate all containers you need:

Container N. 1
Weight = 22 Metric tons
Horizontal distance to aft. Perpend.= 132 metri
Vertical distance to base line (keel) = 12 metri

Container N. 2
Etc. with the others containers.

When you complete to input all data, the program gives the result as follows:

Weight (All containers) 3280 Metric tons.
Horizontal distance 28.34567 metres
Vertical distance 11.56342 metres

Above values you have to input in the ship's stability calculation as a new ship's compartment.
